What's new in Visual Studio ALM vNext?
All of the demo scripts used by Anthony are available in a Hyper-V virtual machine containing Visual Studio 11 Developer Preview ALM.  Detailed instructions for downloading the VM as well as 6 hands-on-labs are available on Brian Keller's blog post Visual Studio 11 Application Lifecycle Management Virtual Machine and Hands-on-Labs / Demo Scripts.

In discussion after his presentation, Andrew pointed out that to get started with XP Embedded you only need to have a second partition on your existing hard disk and boot into that rather than the normal one to test with. Would save some of the attendees that $500 to get started.

Celebrating 10 Years!

I had a bit of a dig around the e-mail archive and came up with this gem...

This was the invitation to the first meeting of QMSDNUG.  The name of the group was decided that night and it was also decided to meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.  This continues today.  No, it wasn't a typo; Microsoft's office WAS on level 7 back in those days.

A HUGE vote of thanks to those who have managed the group over the past 10 years; James Whittred, Roger Davis, Dave Apelt and Greg Low.
